I do prefer intense, whirlwind relationships that leave me forever changed, sometimes scarred, sometimes grown. Maybe that's my problem. Although I swear that on the West Coast, people just don't go on dates. Unless they're like, 45. They meet at a bar, get drunk, fuck, and then some of them start up a relationship from that first drunk fuck. We obviously have no morals whatsoever. Which makes me totally proud because the first year, I bailed at 5K, and the second, 10K! lol I've learned alot about myself as a 'writer' through Nano. A couple of big ones: (1) I'm not nearly as disciplined as I 'need' or 'should' be if I really want to write that book I've been talking about for 35 years and (2) My best hours for writing..or for creating anything..are about 5 a.m. to noon. Which means I have maybe 2 good hours before I have to get ready for work. Which means I either need to bribe my Muse into changing her shift, or find myself a sugar daddy that will support me so I can create all morning without that whole "putting a roof over our heads" thing.
